I was wondering if I can post this photo here. I was wondering because I am not the author.
I have had this Magic Lantern Glass Slide for many years and have been impressed by it since then.
I think the Unknown Photographer took it over a hundred years ago.

I imagine him unfolding a large box of an old camera on a heavy tripod.
Probably he took this photo on commission but I feel he put his soul into it.
For me, it has everything I value in photography - there is space, mystery and there are people.
I thought it is worth paying tribute to this man by publishing this photo.
